so very true....

Never take someone for granted

Hold every person close to your heart

Because you might wake up one day

And realize that you've lost a diamond

While you were too busy collecting stones.

Nights In Rodanthe

This was a truely good movie.

Great acting, so believable.

Just be prepaired to cry.

...listen

This world has so much beauty. Have you ever listened to the sound of rushing water???
It is a peaceful sound for me, yet a stirring one too. I remember when I was a kid and my family would go on a fishing trip on the upper Canadian River. It was so beautiful up there . I loved to just sit on the river bank and listen to the water rushing through the rocks. the canyon walls, the trees... OMG they were awesome... The fishing interested my dad and my brother... the scenery and the camping was my forte...
My dad would wake up early and get a campfire going... and soon you could smell bacon frying and that followed by potatos and eggs... My hunger was doubled up their in the mountains and canyons... and every thing tasted devine...
My dad.. a natural born philosopher .. said just be really quiet and listen to the silence....
I never heard so much in my life.... the birds.. the wind.. the river... and the sound of the birds wings touching the breeze in flight...
he taught me to love and appreciate all the gifts that God had given...
more than that.. he taught me to take care of them....
take the time to listen to the sounds of silence......

recently...

Recently I got to see a good friend of mine. I had a great time. Nothing is quite as wonderful as getting to spend some time with someone that you really enjoy their company. To spend a while laughing, listening, sharing, and at times just being quiet and let their presense fill the space.

I was reminded of all the reasons this person is my friend. Ginuine trust and sincere belief in who and what they are. Acceptance, respect... unspoken.

once in a while those special people come along and touch our lives, and we are never the same...
your life is changed for the better for what they bring to your world,

such is my friend... I embarassed myself by being emotional when we parted...

I was so happy to see them yet so sad to say goodbye.....

You might recall....

that when I talked about Wrath of Gods that I mentioned the breath taking beauty of Iceland. Well I wanted to share some of the pictures of Iceland courtesy of Wrath of Gods documentary
Right now it is 2:43 AM in Iceland and the temp in Reykjavik is 52 degrees... Here it is 8:43 PM and the temp is 92 degrees. Well I could go for some of that cool weather right a bout now.

I hope you enjoy all these pics from Iceland ...

Mama Mia.... great fun...

.... Here's the deal... I enjoyed every single minute of it.. Yes it was really a fun show to see. I loved all the Abba songs. One after the other they just kept coming. It was cool watching the people in the theater during this movie, everyone was laughing, moving to the music and just having a really good time. Could all these guys really sing that well.. well some of them could and then some weren't the best, but it didn't matter, it didn't take away from any part of the show. That is the true test of if a movie is really good or not. Did everyone there seem to be enjoying it. From all the reviews I have read, most seem to be sharing my sentiments, I have freinds that have gone back to see it more than once... well I will wait for the DVD to come out. I loved watching Meryl Streep she is in her late 50s and she was dynomite!!!!! Christine Baranski as usual was funnier than funny. Stellan Skarsguard ( Wrath of Gods/) was a just a bit different than he was as King Hothgar in Beowulf and Grendel and Bootstrap Bill in Pirates of the Carribean : Dead Man's Chest... LOLOL but he was delightfully funny... Go watch this one.. it is really worth seeing... and if you feel like singing along with all those great Abba tunes .. go ahead .. everyone else will too...

A Bit of Pondering

I believe that most people are the same..
what sets us apart is the level of passion
with which we approach life. Some of us
choose to lead while others follow. Some
choose to be takers while others opt to be
care takers. I believe that you should never
take without giving something back. We
should never take anyone or anything for
granted. Never forget to say thank you
or show gratitude for even the smallest
deed or gesture. If you care about
someone, tell them, never wait until its
too late to let them know they are special.
It might not seem important to you, but it
could mean the world to them.
Listen with your heart, your brain lies
between your ears and can affect what
you hear. Do something daring, even if its
just once. Remember that if you love
with all your heart, and someone doesn't
love you back...it doesn't make them a bad
person. When you say you will do something,
do it like you are being paid, or don't do it at all.
Shower the people you love with love... they will
get more than enough crap from everyone else.
There is no age limit on being mischievous,
there are no boundaries on love, however
while engaged in both.. have fun. Never let the
sun set on your wrath, forgiveness sets you free
and burdens the other fellow... SMILE there is
nothing quite as beautiful..........

A DOCUMENTARY WORTH SEEING....

I was totally entertained for around 3 hours in one DVD. This little gem of a film is loaded with great viewing time. Talk about breath taking beauty Iceland is loaded with it. Wrath of Gods not only has the back drop of Iceland to well coat your visual senses but it has the appetizer, main course, and delectible extras for dessert. The first seventy minutes throws you into hurricane force winds, spewing volcanoes, peltering rain, in a filmmaker's night mare from hell. The director of Wrath of Gods, Jon Gustafsson, an Icelandic native, does an excellent job of making you feel all the pain, yet see the underlying humor in it all. Add almost two hours of extras, literally "bonus" material to the deal and your hunger to be entertained, enthralled, and awe struck and stuffed with a feast of viewing pleassure. I laughed, almost cried, and at the end applauded Jon Gustafsson for one delightful film, and also the cast and crew of Bewoulf and Grendel, all troopers to the end. Not a bad line up in this one, Gerard Butler and Stellan Skarsgard (look for my what I have to say about his Mama Mia soon).

...DID IT TAKE YOUR BREATH AWAY?

When I was just a little girl I remember sitting down in the canyon with my dad and we were feasting our senses on how beautiful it was. I will never forget what he told me. He said that when you see something beautiful and it takes your breath away... look at it long and hard and make a memory of it. He said life will hand you times of sorrow, pain, and saddness... he said those are the times you go deep within yourself and find the memory of one of those moments that took your breath away and you allow that memory to help you get through where ever you are or whatever is going on . Take the time in your life to really focus on the things that take your breath away. yeah you know.. smell the roses... feel the rain.... don't let one moment of life's beauty pass you by.... take a big deep breath and feel up your senses....... on those dark and cloudy days you will be glad that you did...... :)

Wolves

At one time there were thirty subspecies
of wolves. Most of them have become
extinct. About five species of them
survive today. In England the last wolf
was wiped out by 1500. A few still survive in
Eastern Europe, Germany, Italy, Spain, India,
and the Middle East. Most wolves in North America
are found in Alaska and Canada.
Intelligent, strong, and mysterious.... a most beautiful
creature. Lets hope the five species that remain will live forever.

Farewell Andromeda.... Welcome to my morning

I loved John Denver... his music touched the heart and spanned the mountians and the skies...
he and his music will always live in my heart....
