recently...

Recently I got to see a good friend of mine. I had a great time. Nothing is quite as wonderful as getting to spend some time with someone that you really enjoy their company. To spend a while laughing, listening, sharing, and at times just being quiet and let their presense fill the space.

I was reminded of all the reasons this person is my friend. Ginuine trust and sincere belief in who and what they are. Acceptance, respect... unspoken.

once in a while those special people come along and touch our lives, and we are never the same...
your life is changed for the better for what they bring to your world,

such is my friend... I embarassed myself by being emotional when we parted...

I was so happy to see them yet so sad to say goodbye.....

You might recall....

that when I talked about Wrath of Gods that I mentioned the breath taking beauty of Iceland. Well I wanted to share some of the pictures of Iceland courtesy of Wrath of Gods documentary
Right now it is 2:43 AM in Iceland and the temp in Reykjavik is 52 degrees... Here it is 8:43 PM and the temp is 92 degrees. Well I could go for some of that cool weather right a bout now.

I hope you enjoy all these pics from Iceland ...

Mama Mia.... great fun...

.... Here's the deal... I enjoyed every single minute of it.. Yes it was really a fun show to see. I loved all the Abba songs. One after the other they just kept coming. It was cool watching the people in the theater during this movie, everyone was laughing, moving to the music and just having a really good time. Could all these guys really sing that well.. well some of them could and then some weren't the best, but it didn't matter, it didn't take away from any part of the show. That is the true test of if a movie is really good or not. Did everyone there seem to be enjoying it. From all the reviews I have read, most seem to be sharing my sentiments, I have freinds that have gone back to see it more than once... well I will wait for the DVD to come out. I loved watching Meryl Streep she is in her late 50s and she was dynomite!!!!! Christine Baranski as usual was funnier than funny. Stellan Skarsguard ( Wrath of Gods/) was a just a bit different than he was as King Hothgar in Beowulf and Grendel and Bootstrap Bill in Pirates of the Carribean : Dead Man's Chest... LOLOL but he was delightfully funny... Go watch this one.. it is really worth seeing... and if you feel like singing along with all those great Abba tunes .. go ahead .. everyone else will too...

A DOCUMENTARY WORTH SEEING....

I was totally entertained for around 3 hours in one DVD. This little gem of a film is loaded with great viewing time. Talk about breath taking beauty Iceland is loaded with it. Wrath of Gods not only has the back drop of Iceland to well coat your visual senses but it has the appetizer, main course, and delectible extras for dessert. The first seventy minutes throws you into hurricane force winds, spewing volcanoes, peltering rain, in a filmmaker's night mare from hell. The director of Wrath of Gods, Jon Gustafsson, an Icelandic native, does an excellent job of making you feel all the pain, yet see the underlying humor in it all. Add almost two hours of extras, literally "bonus" material to the deal and your hunger to be entertained, enthralled, and awe struck and stuffed with a feast of viewing pleassure. I laughed, almost cried, and at the end applauded Jon Gustafsson for one delightful film, and also the cast and crew of Bewoulf and Grendel, all troopers to the end. Not a bad line up in this one, Gerard Butler and Stellan Skarsgard (look for my what I have to say about his Mama Mia soon).
